Job Requirements

  • Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
  • Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
  • Knowledge of basic math including addition, subtraction with two-digit numbers, and multiplication or division by 10s and 100s
  • Knowledge of American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, and volume measurements
  • Valid driver’s license if driving a personal or company vehicle on business
  • Proof of vehicle registration and insurance if applicable
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
  • Dust, sanitize, clean glass, mirrors, windows, polish metal and wood surfaces, clean blinds and draperies
  • Empty trash and recycling bins, transport waste to disposal areas
  • Conduct light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supply areas
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures and address unsafe behaviors
  • Follow company protocols, procedures, and rules
  • Take direction and respond effectively to supervision
  • Use proper personal protective equipment
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct
  • Understand and utilize reporting systems
  • Transport small equipment and furniture, straighten lobbies and conference rooms
  • Assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms, clean elevators, spot clean carpets and upholstered furniture, and dust common areas
