Job Requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- six months of commercial janitorial experience desired
- ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods
- able to lift and move a minimum of 30 pounds
- ability to safely use cleaning equipment and tools
- punctual and reliable
- good communication skills
- ability to understand and meet client expectations
- ability to attend safety training
- wear uniform if required at specific worksites
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- six months of experience in commercial janitorial or facilities maintenance work desired
- knowledge of basic janitorial duties and responsibilities
- good listening and verbal communication skills
- ability to speak and understand English for some positions
- ability to understand and anticipate client needs
- ability to follow safety protocols
- punctuality and a neat appearance
- capability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 30 pounds
- able to work in fast-paced, sometimes noisy environments
- willingness to attend training sessions
Job Duties
- Empty waste baskets and replace liners as needed
- dust and clean tops of office furniture, cleared desks, and surfaces of tables
- vacuum all carpeting and spot clean soiled areas
- clean glass on lobby doors
- sweep and mop floors
- wipe and clean lunchroom tables, chairs, vending machines, appliances, sinks and counter areas
- refill restroom dispensers and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals
- spot clean walls, partitions, and doors
- clean overhead vents, dust blinds, polish wood furniture
- move furniture and equipment to clean areas
- scrub, wax, and polish floors using industrial machines
- use ladders to dust and wash walls, ceilings, and light fixtures
- remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors
- perform seasonal tasks such as sweeping walkways, raking leaves, cutting grass, and snow removal
- maintain neat janitor's closet and properly maintain equipment such as vacuums
- attend periodic training and safety meetings
