The Department of Veterans Services (DVS) operates the Jones & Cabacoy Veterans Care Center (JCVCC), a state-of-the-art 128-bed facility dedicated to providing high-quality care to Virginia's veteran residents. Located in the Princess Anne section of Virginia Beach, Virginia, JCVCC is designed to serve veterans with dignity, honoring the sacrifices they have made for the nation. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to use cleaning supplies and equipment safely
- Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or alien authorized to work
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Availability for Monday-Friday shifts with rotating weekends
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge in the use of a variety of supplies and equipment used in routine cleaning of offices, resident rooms, public spaces and utility areas
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
Job Duties
- Clean and service rooms, baths, and other resident areas
- Dust furniture and equipment
- Clean windowsills
- Empty trash baskets
- Arrange furniture in an orderly fashion
- Perform a variety of related duties in resident areas
- Work Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with rotating weekends
