Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in custodial, facilities, or housekeeping work preferred
  • current or willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
  • strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning and safety protocols
  • ability to work independently and take initiative in completing assigned tasks
  • commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for campers and staff
  • willingness to abide by the policies and practices of Girl Scouts of Connecticut

Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all restrooms, bathhouses, and wash stations throughout the camp
  • regularly clean toilets, sinks, floors, and fixtures using approved cleaning products and safety protocols
  • support the cleaning and upkeep of program areas, dining spaces, and lodges as assigned
  • ensure all cleaning materials and chemicals are properly stored and labeled
  • monitor supply levels and communicate inventory needs promptly
  • assist with the organization, cleaning, and restocking of camp supplies and food storage areas
  • support daily operations such as luggage transport, setup, and cleanup on camper arrival and departure days
