Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in custodial, facilities, or housekeeping work preferred
- Current or willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs, walk on uneven terrain, and work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to mix and use cleaning solutions safely following dilution guidelines
- Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and safety hazards
- Ability to perform first aid and respond calmly and effectively in an emergency

Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all restrooms, bathhouses, and wash stations throughout the camp
- Regularly clean toilets, sinks, floors, and fixtures using approved cleaning products and safety protocols
- Support the cleaning and upkeep of program areas, dining spaces, and lodges as assigned
- Ensure all cleaning materials and chemicals are properly stored and labeled
- Monitor supply levels and communicate inventory needs promptly
- Assist with the organization, cleaning, and restocking of camp supplies and food storage areas
- Support daily operations such as luggage transport, setup, and cleanup on camper arrival and departure days
- Assist with snack preparation and pack-out meals, ensuring allergy and dietary accommodations are followed
- Record and monitor temperature logs for refrigeration units, reporting any discrepancies immediately
- Complete work orders or maintenance requests as needed and communicate repair needs to the Camp Director
- Follow all GSofCT, ACA, and State of Connecticut safety and sanitation regulations
- Use cleaning chemicals responsibly and accurately according to dilution ratios
- Attend training on universal precautions, safe chemical handling, and emergency procedures
- Maintain awareness of allergy and dietary information when preparing or distributing food or snacks
- Report incidents or hazards promptly and complete necessary documentation
- Participate in emergency drills and respond appropriately during actual emergencies
- Work cooperatively with all staff to support a positive and healthy camp environment
- Engage with campers respectfully and encourage participation in daily "kapers" (camp chores) to promote shared responsibility
- Participate in camp wide activities such as flag ceremonies, meals, and special events as assigned
- Maintain professional relationships and uphold the Girl Scout Promise and Law in daily interactions
- Participate in camp opening and closing procedures
- Attend required staff trainings and meetings
- Attend both optional camper overnights/late nights as applicable
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support camp operations
