Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs safely
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- good communication skills in English
- willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to handle repetitive tasks
- ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand and walk 100 percent of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop
- can immerse hands in water frequently diluted with chemical solutions
- ability to speak, read and write English
- able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift and place loads on high shelves, coolers, and freezers
- work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- support fellow employees as needed
- complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- wash and provide clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
- clean and sanitize throughout shift
- maintain kitchen area cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from floors
- perform assigned prep work, opening and closing duties, and beautification duties
- prepare and maintain dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
