Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen sanitation experience preferred
- Ability to stand and walk throughout entire shift
- Physical capability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Basic English communication skills
- Completion of food safety certification program
- Willingness to work in varied temperature environments
- Compliance with company safety and sanitation policies
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand and walk 100 percent of shift
- Can reach, bend, and stoop
- Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift, lifting heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, and freezers
- Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- Work safely with hot plates, pots, and pans
- Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- Support fellow employees as needed
- Complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Wash and provide clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
- Clean and sanitize throughout shift
- Maintain kitchen area cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, and debris removal
- Perform assigned prep work, opening and closing duties, and beautification tasks
- Prepare and maintain dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
