Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to physically stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop
- Ability to immerse hands in water frequently
- Ability to lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work safely with hot and sharp kitchen equipment
- Must pass food safety certification
- Ability to work in damp and high temperature environments
- Availability to work assigned shifts
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand and walk 100% of shift
- Can reach, bend, stoop
- Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift and lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- Work in damp, high temperature environments indoors and minimally outdoors
- Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- Support fellow employees as needed
- Complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Wash and provide clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
- Clean and sanitize throughout shift
- Maintain kitchen area cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from floors
- Perform assigned prep work, opening, closing, and beautification duties
- Prepare and maintain dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
