Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Minimum 3 years experience in mission-critical data center facilities
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Analytical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to follow specified policies and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of network hardware and cabling systems
- Experience with power and HVAC calculations
- Experience working in a cleared environment logistics
- Experience leading technical teams
- Knowledge of physical IT and CE infrastructure
- Safety and compliance program execution
- Experience with hardware maintenance and RMAs
- Experience monitoring data center infrastructure
- Capacity planning skills
- Experience in Agile work environments
- Physical ability for data center tasks
- DoD 8570.11-IAT Level II certification or equivalent
- Ability to manage access and security protocols
- Capable of working 24/7 on-call support
- Preferred experience with Windows systems, SAN/network storage, data center certifications, and cloud transitions
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years relevant experience or Master's with 6+ years relevant experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Minimum 3 years experience in similar mission-critical facilities
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of data center network hardware including Ethernet and fiber channel interfaces
- Understanding of power and HVAC calculations
- Knowledge of rack spacing and placements in multi-classification data centers
- Experience managing logistics in a cleared environment including IT equipment disposition
- Prior experience leading and motivating diverse technical teams
- Knowledge of physical IT infrastructure such as servers, SANs, and networking
- Familiarity with physical CE infrastructures such as UPS, generators, and AHU systems
- Ability to perform safety programs, policies, and compliance assessments
- Skilled in hardware support, break fixes, and RMAs
- Experience monitoring data center power and air conditioning
- Capacity planning expertise to support system scalability
- Experience inspecting and managing rack installations
- Ability to set up and configure racks for network deployment
- Experience working within an Agile environment
- Knowledge of data center strategy, planning, and roadmap maintenance
- Experience with data center consolidation and cloud transition
- Physical capability for rack moving, cable management, and equipment installation
- Preferred experience includes operating in Windows environments, SAN or network storage administration, data center management certification, familiarity with hyper-converged infrastructure, and backup/restore procedures
- Must meet DoD 8570.11-IAT Level II certification requirements
Job Duties
- Collaborate with TPOCs to define processes and standards governing data center activities
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and SLOs
- Follow and improve data center procedures
- Track, document, and report resource consumption including power, cooling, and rack space
- Build and maintain data center diagrams including topology, racks, and cable plant
- Coordinate and control access to data centers and racks along with logistic support
- Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues
- Manage and maintain network and power cabling organization and tagging
- Perform hardware maintenance including replacement of cables and equipment
- Provide accurate and detailed logs for incident tracking and communication
- Coordinate equipment receiving, shipping, and RMA processing
- Provide vendor and security escorts
- Perform general cleaning and upkeep of data center facilities
- Support standard and emergency operating procedures
- Provide status reporting on service availability, performance, and capacity
- Conduct daily error log reporting and physical inspections
- Coordinate equipment installation and scheduled deliveries
- Facilitate equipment sanitization and turn-in processes
- Provide 24/7 data center support for emergency incidents
