Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
- Ability to lift and maneuver packages of 50 lbs or more with assistance
- Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods
- Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for spill clean-up if required
- Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
- Ability to communicate effectively in a time-sensitive and noisy environment
- Valid driver’s license if required to operate company vehicles or motorized conveyances
- Must work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages preferred
- Current Dangerous Goods certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
- Experience with computer systems such as mainframe, PC, internet/intranet preferred
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Completion of basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods and spill clean-up preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including proper separation, palletizing and aircraft/truck loading
- Ensure related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely including proper distribution to all necessary parties
- Perform spill clean-up if required
- Complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods and spill clean-up
- Communicate effectively in a time-sensitive manner in a noisy operations environment
- Use appropriate equipment and/or assistance to maneuver packages above 50 lbs
- Perform other duties as assigned
