Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
  • Ability to lift and maneuver packages of 50 lbs or more with assistance
  • Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods
  • Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for spill clean-up if required
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a time-sensitive and noisy environment
  • Valid driver’s license if required to operate company vehicles or motorized conveyances
  • Must work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages preferred
  • Current Dangerous Goods certification preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
  • Experience with computer systems such as mainframe, PC, internet/intranet preferred
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Completion of basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods and spill clean-up preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including proper separation, palletizing and aircraft/truck loading
  • Ensure related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely including proper distribution to all necessary parties
  • Perform spill clean-up if required
  • Complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods and spill clean-up
  • Communicate effectively in a time-sensitive manner in a noisy operations environment
  • Use appropriate equipment and/or assistance to maneuver packages above 50 lbs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
