Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
  • Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for dangerous goods
  • If required, must complete all basic and re-currency training for spill clean-up
  • Must be able to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
  • Ability to communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner in a noisy environment
  • Current dangerous goods certification preferred
  • Must possess valid driver’s license if required to drive company vehicles or motorized conveyances
  • Must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
  • Ability to communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner in a noisy operations environment
  • Current dangerous goods certification preferred
  • Experience with computers including mainframe, PC, internet/intranet

Job Duties

  • Ensures safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including proper separation, palletizing and aircraft/truck loading
  • Ensures related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely, including proper distribution to all necessary parties
  • Performs other duties as assigned
