Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
- Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for dangerous goods
- If required, must complete all basic and re-currency training for spill clean-up
- Must be able to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
- Ability to communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner in a noisy environment
- Current dangerous goods certification preferred
- Must possess valid driver’s license if required to drive company vehicles or motorized conveyances
- Must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages
- Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
- Ability to communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner in a noisy operations environment
- Current dangerous goods certification preferred
- Experience with computers including mainframe, PC, internet/intranet
Job Duties
- Ensures safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including proper separation, palletizing and aircraft/truck loading
- Ensures related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely, including proper distribution to all necessary parties
- Performs other duties as assigned
