Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages with assistance or equipment
- Ability to complete Dangerous Goods training and re-certification
- Ability to perform spill clean-up training if required
- Must be able to communicate effectively in a fast-paced and noisy environment
- Must possess a valid driver’s license if required to drive company vehicles
- Non-covered safety sensitive position
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages strongly preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
- Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods
- Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
- Effective verbal communication in a noisy and time-sensitive environment
- Experience with computer systems such as mainframe, PC, internet/intranet preferred
- Current Dangerous Goods certification preferred
Job Duties
- Ensures safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including proper separation, palletizing and aircraft/truck loading
- Ensures related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely, including proper distribution to all necessary parties
- Performs other duties as assigned
