Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to maneuver packages with assistance or equipment
  • Ability to complete Dangerous Goods training and re-certification
  • Ability to perform spill clean-up training if required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in a fast-paced and noisy environment
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license if required to drive company vehicles
  • Non-covered safety sensitive position

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
  • Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
  • Effective verbal communication in a noisy and time-sensitive environment
  • Experience with computer systems such as mainframe, PC, internet/intranet preferred
  • Current Dangerous Goods certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensures safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including proper separation, palletizing and aircraft/truck loading
  • Ensures related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely, including proper distribution to all necessary parties
  • Performs other duties as assigned
