Job Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- One year of experience working with children
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to work outdoors in warm or hot weather
- Must be energetic and able to manage a group
- Ability to deal with stressful conditions
- Must demonstrate leadership qualities
Job Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- One year of experience working with children
- One to three years experience in dance production or performance
- Basic knowledge of dance
- Ability to make good judgments and be aware of surroundings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and responsible
- Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to respond appropriately to children's behaviors
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Enjoys working outdoors in warm/hot weather
- Demonstrates leadership qualities
- Energetic and able to manage group dynamics positively
Job Duties
- Responsible for direct leadership of all daily activities and events
- Assists in organizing and structuring large and small group activities
- Creates and teaches theatre lessons to participants
- Sets up and participates in day camp activities
- Teaches participants basic theatre skill sets
- Prepares participants for auditions
- Cleans up after activities and at the end of the day
- Ensures all personal property of campers is labeled and stored properly
- Maintains headcounts of campers throughout the day
- Supervises campers on the pool deck and in the water during swim times
- Enforces safety rules during camp activities
- Completes accident report forms when necessary
- Notifies Camp Director and Recreation Supervisor of concerns
- Administers first aid as needed
- Attends required meetings, training, and events
- Is aware of camp medications and allergies
- Encourages positive peer relationships
- Demonstrates mature and professional attitude
- Treats public complaints courteously
- Presents clean, pleasant appearance
- Performs other duties as necessary
