Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Completion of technical culinary program with pastry emphasis
  • Minimum 2 years of pastry experience
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Capability to perform in high-volume environments
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control and supplies management
  • Ability to adjust and convert recipe measurements accurately
  • Competence in maintaining quality standards
  • Skilled in preparing diverse pastries and baked goods
  • Must follow written and oral instructions effectively
  • Ability to handle, stock, and deliver food supplies
  • Familiarity with maintenance of culinary equipment and materials
  • Understanding of food preparation and presentation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Technical culinary program degree with pastry emphasis
  • Minimum 2 years pastry experience
  • Demonstrate adequate pastry skills and operation
  • Open availability including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform in a high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and inventory control
  • Ability to convert recipe ingredients according to yield
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards
  • Ability to prepare and bake a variety of pastries and baked goods
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to receive, stock, and deliver goods
  • Knowledge of culinary facility maintenance and care
  • Knowledge of food preparation, presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards

Job Duties

  • Plan and prepare quality pastry products including desserts, breads, and ice creams
  • Maintain and understand standard pastry recipes
  • Ensure adequate food supply for service
  • Produce sweet items for all outlets and banquets
  • Maintain cleanliness and health standards in work area and equipment
  • Assist in plating pastries and desserts
  • Inspect orders to ensure quality and presentation
  • Work under pressure to meet production schedules
  • Prioritize, organize, and delegate tasks
  • Create artistic and creative food presentations
  • Perform job functions with minimal supervision
  • Collaborate with culinary team members
  • Maintain proper food handling and storage standards
  • Support food and beverage portion and waste control procedures
  • Follow proper handling and temperature guidelines for all food products
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business needs
