Job Requirements
- HS diploma or GED required
- minimum of 6 months work experience required
- data entry and keyboard experience required
- proficiency with MS Office and Outlook required
- ability to handle a high volume of work

- ability to use multiple systems and reference material
- excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Qualifications

- experience interacting with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff and management
Job Duties
- Provide impeccable customer service
- process commodities requiring specialized processing to reduce risk of liquidated damages and penalties through classification and duty preference application
- obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using database, SOPs, tariff book, internet or Customs
- data entry and processing of import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and other participating government agencies
- maintain and keep shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements
- adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations
- work closely with internal staff, customers, brokers, carriers, and government agencies to deliver high level of service
- process agency brokerage shipments
- handle remote filings
- perform entry reconciliations as needed
- ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies
- follow up on customs matters and resolve problems
- perform entry reviews as needed
