Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED
  • minimum of 6 months work experience
  • data entry and keyboard experience
  • working knowledge of MS Office and email applications such as Outlook

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers
  • provide impeccable customer service
  • process commodities requiring specialized handling to reduce risk of liquidated damages and penalties
  • obtain correct classification of goods from databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet or customs
  • perform data entry and processing of import documentation for US Customs and PGAs
  • maintain shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements
  • adhere to international import and export regulations
  • collaborate with internal staff, departments, customers and government agencies
  • process agency brokerage shipments
  • handle remote filings
  • perform entry reconciliations
  • ensure government and organizational policy compliance
  • follow up on customs matters and resolve issues
  • perform entry reviews
  • perform other duties as assigned
