Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 months work experience
- Data entry and keyboard proficiency
- Working knowledge of MS Office and email applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle high volume and time sensitive work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials
- Ability to interact with customers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, and management
- Knowledge of customs regulations and harmonized tariff schedules preferred

Job Duties
- Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for goods entry on behalf of importers
- Provide impeccable customer service
- Process commodities requiring specialized classification and duty application
- Obtain correct classification of goods using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs sources
- Enter and process import documentation for US Customs and participating government agencies
- Maintain shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements
- Adhere to all international import/export regulations
- Work closely with internal staff, other FedEx operations companies, customers, and government agencies
- Process agency brokerage shipments
- Perform entry reconciliations and reviews as needed
- Follow up and resolve customs matters and problems
- Ensure compliance with government and organizational policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
