Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 months work experience
- Data entry and keyboard experience
- Working knowledge of MS Office and email applications such as Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Inter-personal skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to manage high volume and time-sensitive work
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Proficient in using multiple systems and reference materials
- Ability to interact professionally with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, management, and departments
- Knowledge of customs regulations and harmonized tariff schedules preferred

Job Duties
- Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for the entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers
- Provide impeccable customer service
- Process commodities identified as requiring specialized processing to reduce risks of penalties
- Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases and references
- Perform data entry and processing of import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and multiple government agencies
- Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements
- Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations
- Work closely with internal staff, departments, other FedEx operating companies, customers, and government agencies to deliver high-level service
- Process agency brokerage shipments
- Handle remote filings
- Perform entry reconciliations and reviews as needed
- Follow up on Customs matters and resolve problems
- Ensure compliance with government and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
