Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 6 months work experience required
- Data entry and keyboard experience required
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner)
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills

- Ability to handle high volume and time sensitive work
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials
- Knowledge of customs regulations and harmonized tariff schedule preferred
- CCS and/or Brokers license preferred

Job Duties
- Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers
- Provide impeccable customer service
- Process commodities requiring specialized classification and duty preference
- Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet or customs resources
- Enter and process import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and handle Participating Government Agencies documentation
- Maintain shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements
- Adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
- Collaborate with internal staff, departments, FedEx operating companies, customers, and government agencies to deliver high service levels
- Process agency brokerage shipments
- Handle remote filings
- Perform entry reconciliations and entry reviews as needed
- Follow up on customs matters and resolve problems
- Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies
