Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED required
  • minimum of 6 months work experience required
  • minimum of 12 months industry experience preferred
  • data entry/keyboard experience required
  • CCS and/or broker’s license preferred
  • required proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, office equipment including phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner
  • excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Job Duties

  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • process commodities requiring specialized processing to reduce risk of liquidated damages and penalties through classification and proper duty preference
  • obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from databases, SOPs, tariff book, internet, or Customs
  • perform data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and handle all Participating Government Agencies (PGAs)
  • maintain and update shipment documentation to comply with record keeping requirements
  • adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
  • work closely with internal staff, other departments, FedEx operating companies, customers, and government agencies to provide high-level service
  • process agency brokerage shipments
  • handle remote filings
  • perform entry reconciliations and entry reviews as needed
  • ensure adherence to all government and organizational policies
  • follow up on customs matters and resolve problems
  • perform additional duties as assigned
