Job Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
- minimum of 12 months industry experience preferred
- minimum of 6 months work experience required
- data entry and keyboard proficiency
- CCS and/or broker license preferred
- proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong organizational and interpersonal skills

- ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work

Job Duties
- Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers
- provide impeccable customer service
- process commodities requiring specialized handling to reduce risk of liquidated damages and penalties
- obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs resources
- perform data entry and process import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and handling of all participating government agencies (PGAs)
- maintain and update shipment documentation to comply with record-keeping requirements
- adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
- collaborate with internal staff, departments, FedEx operating companies, customers, and government agencies to deliver high-level service
- process agency brokerage shipments
- handle remote filings
- perform entry reconciliations and entry reviews as needed
- follow up on customs matters and resolve issues
- comply with all government and organizational policies
