Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • No prior industry experience required
  • Minimum six months work experience preferred
  • Data entry and keyboard experience required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle high volume and time sensitive work
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to use multiple systems and reference material
  • Must reside within 50-mile radius of Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of multiple systems and reference materials
  • Experience interacting with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and internal staff

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for goods entry into the US
  • Provide impeccable customer service to importers and internal stakeholders
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using various resources
  • Perform data entry and processing of import-related documentation for submission to US Customs
  • Handle filings with participating government agencies as necessary
  • Maintain and update shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements
  • Adhere to international importing and exporting regulations and organizational policies
