Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum of six months work experience preferred
  • data entry and keyboard experience required
  • proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • problem-solving abilities
  • ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work
  • ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • ability to use multiple systems and reference materials
  • effective interaction with diverse stakeholders
  • residency within 50 miles of Oakland, CA preferred

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation for US Customs and government agencies for imports
  • provide exceptional customer service
  • obtain correct classification of goods using databases and tariff resources
  • enter and process import documentation for US Customs and participating government agencies
  • maintain shipment documentation compliance
  • adhere to international import and export regulations
  • collaborate with internal departments and customers to ensure service quality
  • process agency brokerage shipments
  • handle remote filings
  • ensure compliance with government and organizational policies
  • perform additional assigned duties
