Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Data entry and keyboarding experience required
  • Ability to use MS Office and Outlook
  • Experience with office equipment such as phone, fax, photocopier, printer, and scanner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work
  • Ability to use multiple systems and reference material
  • Must live within 50 miles of Oakland, California

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of six months work experience preferred
  • Proficiency in data entry and keyboarding
  • Skilled in MS Office and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve problems effectively
  • Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work
  • Independent work ethic with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in using multiple systems and reference materials
  • Experience interacting with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and internal teams

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for goods entry into the US on behalf of importers
  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using various databases and sources
  • Perform data entry and processing of import-related documentation for US Customs submission
  • Maintain and update shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements
  • Adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
  • Collaborate with internal staff, departments, other FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high levels of service
