Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months work experience preferred
  • Data entry and keyboard experience required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and email applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials
  • Effective interaction skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Willingness to work Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Availability for mandatory overtime and work on company-recognized holidays
  • Compliance with background checks and security screening

Job Qualifications

  • Familiarity with MS Office and email applications such as Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle high work volume and time-sensitive tasks
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in using multiple systems and reference materials
  • Effective interaction skills with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, and management of all levels.

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for goods entry
  • Provide excellent customer service to importers and internal stakeholders
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs resources
  • Perform data entry and process import-related documentation for submission to US Customs
  • Handle Participating Government Agencies' documentation as needed
  • Maintain and update shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements
  • Adhere strictly to international import and export regulations
  • Collaborate closely with internal staff, departments, FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high-quality service
  • Process agency brokerage shipments
  • Manage remote filings for shipments when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
