Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum six months work experience preferred
- Data entry and keyboard proficiency
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle high volume workloads
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with multiple systems and reference materials
- Willingness to work mandatory overtime during peak periods
- Availability to work company-recognized holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- No prior industry experience required
- Minimum of six months work experience preferred
- Proficient data entry and keyboarding skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications including Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience using multiple systems and reference materials
- Ability to interact professionally with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, and management
Job Duties
- Coordinate documentation for US Customs and government agencies for imports
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Obtain correct classification of goods using databases, SOPs, tariff books, and customs references
- Enter and process import documentation for submission to US Customs and government agencies
- Maintain and update shipment documentation adhering to record keeping requirements
- Ensure compliance with international import and export regulations
- Collaborate with internal staff, departments, other FedEx operations, and customers
- Process agency brokerage shipments
- Handle remote filings
- Follow all government and organizational policies
- Perform other assigned duties
