Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • No prior industry experience required
  • Minimum six months work experience preferred
  • Data entry and keyboard proficiency required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and email applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience interacting with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and internal personnel

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for goods entry
  • Provide impeccable customer service to importers and internal teams
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs
  • Enter and process import documentation accurately for submission to US Customs and other government agencies
  • Maintain and update shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements
  • Adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, FedEx operations, customers, and external agencies to ensure high service levels
  • Process agency brokerage shipments and handle remote filings as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
