Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum six months work experience preferred
  • Data entry and keyboard proficiency required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and email applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive tasks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders

Job Qualifications

  • Experience interacting with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and internal staff desired

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US customs and government agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers
  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs
  • Data entry and processing of import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and government agencies
  • Maintain and update all shipment documentation ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements
  • Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations
  • Work collaboratively with internal staff, departments, other FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high service levels
  • Process agency brokerage shipments
  • Handle remote filings as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
