Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • No prior industry experience required
  • Minimum of six months work experience preferred
  • Data entry and keyboard experience required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and email applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage high volume and time-sensitive tasks
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to use multiple computer systems and reference materials
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Oakland, CA or Honolulu, HI depending on location

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for goods entry into the US
  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • Obtain correct classification of goods using various resources
  • Data entry and processing of import-related documentation
  • Maintain shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements
  • Adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
  • Work closely with internal staff, departments, operations, and customers to ensure high service levels
  • Process agency brokerage shipments
  • Handle remote filings
  • Ensuring compliance with government and organizational policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
