Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • No prior industry experience required
  • Minimum six months work experience preferred
  • Data entry and keyboard experience required
  • Proficient in MS Office and Outlook
  • Familiar with office equipment including phone, fax, photocopier, printer, and scanner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks
  • Skilled in using multiple systems and reference materials
  • Strong customer and stakeholder interaction skills
  • Reside within 50 miles of Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for entry of goods
  • Provide impeccable customer service to importers and internal stakeholders
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using various sources
  • Data entry and processing of import documentation for submission to US Customs
  • Manage interactions with Participating Government Agencies (PGAs)
  • Maintain shipment documentation compliant with record-keeping requirements
  • Adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
  • Collaborate with internal staff, departments, and FedEx operations to ensure service quality
  • Process agency brokerage shipments and handle remote filings
  • Ensure compliance with government and organizational policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
