Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED required
  • no industry experience required
  • minimum of 6 months work experience preferred
  • data entry and keyboard experience required
  • proficient in MS Office and Outlook
  • experience with office equipment such as phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work
  • ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • capacity to use multiple systems and reference material
  • ability to interact with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, and management

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for goods entry into the US
  • provide impeccable customer service
  • obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using various resources
  • perform data entry and process import-related documentation
  • maintain shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements
  • adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
  • collaborate with internal departments, other FedEx operations, and customers
  • process agency brokerage shipments
  • handle remote filings
  • ensure compliance with government and organizational policies
  • perform other duties as assigned
