Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- No prior industry experience required
- Minimum six months work experience preferred
- Data entry and keyboard experience required
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment including phone, fax, photocopier, printer, and scanner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to solve problems effectively
- Capacity to handle high volumes and time sensitive tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in using multiple systems and reference materials
- Ability to interact professionally with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff and management of all levels
- Availability to work Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM
- Willingness to work in-office until standards are met then transition to hybrid work environment

Job Duties
- Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for goods entry into the US on behalf of importers
- Provide impeccable customer service
- Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet or customs resources
- Enter and process import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and handle participating Government Agencies (PGAs)
- Maintain and update all shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements
- Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations
- Collaborate with internal staff, departments, FedEx operations, and customers to ensure a high level of service
- Process agency brokerage shipments
- Handle remote filings
- Ensure compliance with government and organizational policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
