Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 6 months work experience preferred
  • data entry and keyboard experience required
  • proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
  • experience with office equipment such as phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong organizational and problem solving abilities
  • ability to work under pressure with time sensitive tasks
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to manage multiple systems and references
  • strong interpersonal skills to deal with multiple stakeholders

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for entry of goods into the US
  • provide impeccable customer service
  • obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet or customs resources
  • enter data and process import-related documentation for submission to US Customs
  • maintain and update shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements
  • adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
  • work closely with internal staff, departments, FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high level of service
  • process agency brokerage shipments
  • handle remote filings
  • ensure compliance with government and organizational policies
  • perform other duties as assigned
