Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in supply chain management, international trade, trade compliance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in trade compliance with managing cross-border compliance matters
  • In-depth knowledge of international customs regulations, export control laws, and sanctions regimes
  • Proven ability to provide strategic and operational guidance to trade compliance specialists and local management teams across international subsidiaries
  • Advanced user of SAP, SAP Global Trade Services (SAP/GTS)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across global functions

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Trade Compliance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in trade compliance
  • In-depth knowledge of international customs regulations, export control laws, and sanctions
  • Proven experience providing strategic and operational guidance to teams and management
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and SAP Global Trade Services (SAP/GTS)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across global functions

Job Duties

  • Maintain accurate HTS classification of materials and products
  • Ensure proper Country of Origin documentation
  • Review Free Trade Agreement eligibility
  • Audit commercial invoice and shipping documentation for non-compliance
  • Manage AES filings
  • Monitor and maintain denied party screening (GTS)
  • Conduct regular compliance training (EAR, ITAR, OFAC)
  • Perform internal audits of customs entries and export filings
  • Provide input in SOPs and corrective actions for non-compliance
  • Utilize SAP GTS for trade compliance transactions
  • Manage trade compliance issues including FTAs, origin calculations, duties, tariffs, audits, and screenings
  • Lead and support import, export, and trade compliance projects
  • Provide shipping compliance support in alignment with legal and internal requirements
  • Ensure understanding of shipping compliance processes per ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • Liaise with business applications and project teams for system/process alignment
  • Verify supplier declarations and certificates of origin
  • Manage and support duty drawback programs
  • Maintain expert knowledge of insurance, Incoterms 2020, transportation, legal, customs, and banking documentation
  • Support C-TPAT certification process
  • Provide administrative logistics support as needed
