Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • No industry experience required
  • No work experience required
  • Data entry and keyboarding experience required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and email applications such as Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle high volume of work
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive work
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials
  • Must interact with internal staff and management at all levels
  • Must be located near Aviation Drive facility in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Must be able to work remotely and in-office as required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers
  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs
  • Enter and process various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs
  • Handle limited participating government agencies shipments
  • Maintain and update all shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements
  • Adhere to all international importing regulations
  • Work closely with internal staff and departments to deliver high level of customer service
  • Process agency brokerage shipments
  • Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
