Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • No prior industry or work experience required
  • Data entry and keyboarding skills required
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment such as phone, fax, photocopier, printer, and scanner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Capability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work
  • Willingness to interact with internal staff and management of all levels

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for entry of goods
  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • Obtain correct classification of goods using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs
  • Perform data entry and processing of import-related documentation for US Customs submission
  • Handle limited Participating Government Agencies requirements
  • Maintain shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements
  • Adhere to international importing regulations
  • Work closely with internal staff and departments
  • Process agency brokerage shipments
  • Ensure compliance with government and organizational policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
