Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years entry writing or brokerage operation experience
- Prior utilization of CargoWise One preferred
- Licensed Broker a definite plus
- Knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities and ocean ports
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate orally and in writing

Job Duties
- Classify import items and notify Customs to determine appropriate import duties
- Train and advise team members in areas of Customs regulations, classification and valuation
- Maintain a high level of expertise in US Customs regulations and clearance processes
- Perform audit reviews on brokerage files and payments
- Initiate and develop written procedures for handling accounts
- Process high-volume and complex import transactions through Company's ABI system
- Review and monitor all Customs rejections, requests for information, and other correspondence
- Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations
- Communicate with clients, coworkers, and supervisors clearly and timely
- Provide excellent and timely customer service
- Identify tasks requiring special handling and recommend/process improvements
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Train new employees in systems if qualified
- Perform other duties as assigned
