Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED with relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in customs Foreign Trade Zone processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Will not sponsor employment visas now or in the future
  • Available to work onsite at Carol Stream, IL
  • Commitment to adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or high school diploma/GED with at least 3 years of relevant customs FTZ experience
  • Strong understanding of Foreign Trade Zone Board and Customs regulations
  • Experience with tariff classification, free trade agreements, and trade management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional, global teams
  • Skilled in multi-tasking, project execution, and delivering results
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma principles preferred
  • Experience with Oracle order management systems preferred
  • Licensed Customs Broker certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Support the key point of contact liaison for the FTZ with Customs and Border Protection including audit support
  • Manage and audit daily FTZ admissions and ensure accurate weekly Customs entries
  • Reconcile inventory records between commercial and FTZ systems resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain standard operating procedures, FTZ files, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Perform internal audits of FTZ operations and maintain audit systems to verify compliance
  • Monitor and report FTZ-related cost savings and operational performance
  • Prepare and submit periodic FTZ compliance and Board reports
  • Coordinate and maintain updated product data including descriptions, tariff codes, and compliance details
  • Serve as liaison with internal departments and external providers to ensure documentation accuracy
  • Lead performance reviews and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
