Job Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, international business, accounting, and/or international trade
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in international trade compliance
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to meet major milestones
  • Position is based onsite in Bastrop, TX
  • Remote work is not considered

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, international business, accounting, and/or international trade
  • 1+ years of experience with international trade compliance matters
  • Licensed Customs Broker with Department of Homeland Security (preferred)
  • Knowledge of aerospace and/or telecommunications industries (preferred)
  • Ability to analyze technical data and clearly articulate appropriate HTS classification (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Manage daily import activities including daily interaction with customs brokers, vendors, couriers and freight forwarders
  • Assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes and Schedule B to our products
  • Understand and work with various importing requirements and government agencies such as FDA, EPA, AD/CVD, Section 201,301,232, quotas and Free Trade Agreements
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and technology solution to streamline import operations
  • Conduct document reviews and audits customs entries while ensuring accurate and complete record keeping are maintained per regulations
  • Monitor U.S. imports to ensure timely clearance and resolve problems as necessary
  • Where applicable, work with key stakeholders to drive system and process improvements
