Job Requirements
- Must have a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, international business, accounting, and/or international trade
- Minimum of 1 year experience in international trade compliance
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to meet major milestones
- Position is based onsite in Bastrop, TX
- Remote work is not considered
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, international business, accounting, and/or international trade
- 1+ years of experience with international trade compliance matters
- Licensed Customs Broker with Department of Homeland Security (preferred)
- Knowledge of aerospace and/or telecommunications industries (preferred)
- Ability to analyze technical data and clearly articulate appropriate HTS classification (preferred)
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment (preferred)
Job Duties
- Manage daily import activities including daily interaction with customs brokers, vendors, couriers and freight forwarders
- Assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes and Schedule B to our products
- Understand and work with various importing requirements and government agencies such as FDA, EPA, AD/CVD, Section 201,301,232, quotas and Free Trade Agreements
- Identify and recommend process improvements and technology solution to streamline import operations
- Conduct document reviews and audits customs entries while ensuring accurate and complete record keeping are maintained per regulations
- Monitor U.S. imports to ensure timely clearance and resolve problems as necessary
- Where applicable, work with key stakeholders to drive system and process improvements
