Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in customs or international trade compliance
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree or high school diploma
  • Experience with global trade management technology or ERP systems such as SAP GTS or GTM
  • Knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and tariff classification
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally permitted to work in the U.S. under export control requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or associate degree or high school diploma with relevant experience
  • 2+ years of extensive experience in customs and international trade compliance
  • Excellent knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, U.S. tariff classification, and customs brokerage activities
  • Experience with global trade management technology or ERP systems such as SAP GTS or GTM
  • Strong project management skills including analytics, implementation strategies, and continuous monitoring
  • Ability to work independently with strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Presentation skills
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally permitted to work in the U.S. under export control requirements

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day import and export activity including review of customs documents and broker instructions
  • Analyze and aggregate causes of customs clearance issues and drive improvement actions
  • Work with U.S. customs brokers and internal and external customers on customs matters
  • Support cross-functional trade projects and implementation of regulatory customs requirements
  • Develop partnerships with U.S. business areas and communicate operational import and export activities
  • Drive financial optimization through compliant use of special U.S. customs programs such as Temporary Import Bonds, Chapter 98, and Carnets
  • Prepare and submit clearance instructions ensuring compliance with U.S. import and internal requirements
  • Ensure full compliance for export transactions including review of export documentation, filing of Electronic Export Information, and record retention
