Job Requirements
- CCS certified customs specialist or equivalent
- advanced knowledge of customs law and regulations including HS codes Incoterms customs procedures free trade agreements and section 232 regulation
- minimum 10 years of experience in customs operations managing international inbound shipments and relations with customs brokers
- ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and be a good team player
- work authorization to work in the United States
- knowledge of customs in Canada is a plus
- proficiency in Spanish or French is a plus
- experience with SAP S4 Hana including GTS and TM modules
- experience as a customs broker or licensed broker is a plus

- over 10 years of experience in customs managing international inbound shipments and relations with customs brokers
- ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and good team player
- knowledge of customs in Canada is a plus
- spoken second language such as Spanish or French is a plus
- experience working with SAP S4 Hana modules of GTS and TM
- previous experience coming from a custom broker or licensed broker is a relevant plus
- must have work authorization for the United States
Job Duties
- manage customs operations for inbound shipments ensuring timely clearance and delivery
- review and validate import documentation against trade compliance requirements
- prepare and submit detailed customs instructions in SAP GTS for brokers
- collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and provide accurate information for customs processes
- monitor and audit customs entries addressing discrepancies and coordinating corrections
- analyze delays and implement improvements to prevent storage costs and delivery issues
- develop and maintain performance reports daily monthly yearly for customs operations
- support cost-saving initiatives through process optimization in customs matters
- ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines
