Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in customs regulations, clearance, and brokerage
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. import regulations, tariff classifications, country of origin, and valuation
  • Strong vendor management and ability to influence broker performance
  • Proven track record of process improvements and compliance best practices
  • Effective problem-solving and project management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with supply chain security programs such as CTPAT and OEA
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • MS or MBA degree is a plus
  • SAP experience beneficial

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in customs regulations, clearance, and brokerage preferably in the technology industry
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. import regulations, tariff classifications, country of origin, and valuation
  • Proven vendor management skills including the ability to influence brokers and service providers
  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements and compliance best practices
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and prioritization abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills enabling collaboration across global teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with supply chain security programs such as CTPAT and OEA
  • Supervisory experience including delegation, training, and performance management preferred
  • MS or MBA degree highly desirable
  • SAP experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Lead compliance excellence by overseeing all customs and trade compliance activities for U.S. and Canadian operations
  • Manage customs brokers and freight forwarders including performance reviews, SOPs, and scorecards to ensure accountability and efficiency
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve cross-border operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and minimize compliance risks
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on trade compliance by providing regulatory updates and advising global stakeholders on customs strategies
  • Develop, document, and enforce customs policies and procedures covering classification, country of origin, valuation, and recordkeeping
  • Mine and analyze trade data to quantify risk, monitor performance, and inform decision-making
  • Deliver training sessions to teams, partners, and vendors to build compliance capability and promote best practices
  • Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, logistics, legal, and business units to align customs operations with broader company goals
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance, streamline processes, and support business growth
