Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in customs regulations, clearance, and brokerage
- Deep knowledge of U.S. import regulations, tariff classifications, country of origin, and valuation
- Strong vendor management and ability to influence broker performance
- Proven track record of process improvements and compliance best practices
- Effective problem-solving and project management skills
- Strong communication and presentation capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with supply chain security programs such as CTPAT and OEA
- Supervisory experience preferred
- MS or MBA degree is a plus
- SAP experience beneficial
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in customs regulations, clearance, and brokerage preferably in the technology industry
- Deep knowledge of U.S. import regulations, tariff classifications, country of origin, and valuation
- Proven vendor management skills including the ability to influence brokers and service providers
- Experience developing and implementing process improvements and compliance best practices
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and prioritization abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills enabling collaboration across global teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with supply chain security programs such as CTPAT and OEA
- Supervisory experience including delegation, training, and performance management preferred
- MS or MBA degree highly desirable
- SAP experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Lead compliance excellence by overseeing all customs and trade compliance activities for U.S. and Canadian operations
- Manage customs brokers and freight forwarders including performance reviews, SOPs, and scorecards to ensure accountability and efficiency
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve cross-border operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and minimize compliance risks
- Serve as the subject matter expert on trade compliance by providing regulatory updates and advising global stakeholders on customs strategies
- Develop, document, and enforce customs policies and procedures covering classification, country of origin, valuation, and recordkeeping
- Mine and analyze trade data to quantify risk, monitor performance, and inform decision-making
- Deliver training sessions to teams, partners, and vendors to build compliance capability and promote best practices
- Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, logistics, legal, and business units to align customs operations with broader company goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance, streamline processes, and support business growth
