Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
  • strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to learn new software quickly
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • analytical, proactive, and eager to develop skills in international trade
  • internship or entry-level experience in logistics or import/export operations a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare and file customs entry documentation (CF 3461, 7501, ISF) accurately and in compliance with CBP requirements
  • classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and determine applicable duty rates and fees
  • review and verify import documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and arrival notices
  • enter import entry data into the company's customs software with a high degree of accuracy
  • communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and clients to obtain and verify required information
  • track shipment progress, monitor clearances, and assist with post-entry corrections and audits
  • stay current on CBP regulations, tariff updates, and trade policy changes
  • support licensed brokers to ensure compliance with company and federal standards
