Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of entry writing experience
  • Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage high volume data entry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares customs entries for all import shipments to be submitted to and released from U.S. Customs in a timely manner
  • Ensures that all entries are properly classified by using tools such as company profiles, CROSS (Customs Rulings Online Search System), Internet and communicating with the Importer of record
  • Creates invoices for duty and entry charges to be sent to the Billing Department
  • Develops and maintains customer profiles based on the customer's shipment history
  • Coordinates with customers to classify new commodities per according to HTS
  • Answers any Brokerage related inquiries internally and externally
