Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in customs brokerage or imports
  • 2 to 5 years of entry writing experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to multitask and enter data accurately
  • ability to work collaboratively and maintain professionalism
  • flexibility to work weekends or holidays as required

Job Qualifications

  • Entry writing experience of 2 to 5 years
  • experience in customs brokerage (CHB) or imports of 1 to 2 years
  • high school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to rapidly and accurately enter data while multitasking
  • customer service skills with problem-solving ability

Job Duties

  • Perform administrative tasks in the import operations department servicing clients and suppliers
  • provide customer service while maintaining client and vendor revenues
  • classify data entry including filing, breaking down, photocopying, scanning, and assembling of entries
  • process import air recoveries, check cutting, and delivery order creation
  • audit commercial documents and apply harmonized tariff schedule codes for duty assessment
  • review and verify document accuracy including country of origin, terms of sale, and value for compliance
  • follow up daily on documentation discrepancies, troubleshoot and communicate effectively with customers and foreign entities
  • perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager
  • adapt to weekend or holiday work schedules as needed
