Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall experience in import/customs compliance preferably in semiconductor or technology manufacturing sector
  • Subject matter expertise in U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, valuation, country of origin, duty preference programs, and CTPAT
  • Experience with classification (HTS, ECCN, USML) and trade compliance software tools
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory matters to non-experts
  • Experience conducting internal audits and assessments is a plus
  • Collaborative and creative approach with ability to work across functions and workforce levels
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision in fast-paced environments
  • Management experience preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally occasionally

Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of import compliance including customs clearance, classification, valuation, country of origin determination, and duty preference programs
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations, HTS classifications, marking and labeling requirements, and other import laws
  • Administer and manage processes for duty drawbacks, reconciliations, and reductions
  • Maintain knowledge of up-to-date Customs regulations and pending legislation
  • implement internal programs and policies to address risks and respond to Customs regulation changes
  • Partner with Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other internal teams to coordinate import activities and resolve Customs issues
  • Support internal/external audits and post-entry reviews
