Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in customs brokerage for air and ocean shipments
- Excellent leadership skills
- Must be a team player with proactive and flexible attitude
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of customs brokerage software
- Experience with Cargowise is a plus
- Customs brokerage license is preferred
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide and maintain effective customer service and satisfaction
- Delegate work assignments among team members and assist them with resolving customer shipment-related issues
- Act as a role model for the department and address any team member’s issues with the Brokerage manager
- Train team members and assist with any work-related questions
- Ensure team members comply with corporate policies and meet company performance standards
- Address team members’ concerns with the brokerage manager
- Assist with team members’ and managers’ workload in their absence
- Perform duties under general supervision and report any issues to the manager
- Process customs brokerage for air and ocean shipments
- Data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to U.S. Customs and PGAs
- Follow up on customs matters and resolve problems
- Answer both customer inquiries and inter-company inquiries
- Handle remote filings
- Classify goods in the harmonized tariff schedule
- Perform other related duties and projects as requested or assigned by manager and supervisors
