Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of customs brokerage experience
- Experience supervising or leading a team in customs brokerage
- Knowledge of US Customs and Border Protection regulations
- Familiarity with harmonized tariff schedule and partner government agency requirements
- Ability to conduct compliance audits
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with customs brokerage software such as ABI or ACE
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- High discretion and confidentiality

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Customs Brokerage in all modes of transportation
- Comprehensive understanding of US import regulations, including CBP procedures, HTS classification, valuation, and PGA requirements
- Experience in Customs Brokerage operations with supervisory or lead responsibilities
- Familiarity with compliance audit procedures and documentation standards
- Experience with CargoWise is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficiency in customs brokerage systems and platforms (e.g., ABI, ACE)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities
- High level of professionalism and reliability
- Ability to have a high level of discretion and confidentiality
- Customs Broker License is preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Assist the Brokerage Manager in the execution and integration of new departmental projects, ensuring operational readiness and regulatory alignment
- Supervise the daily functions of the customs brokerage team, including entry processing, classification, documentation review, and coordination with carriers and government agencies
- Ensure compliance with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements, and company policies
- Support internal compliance efforts by conducting periodic audits of customs declarations, documentation, and transactional records to identify discrepancies and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the compliance team to implement corrective actions and process improvements based on audit findings
- Address operational and personnel-related issues within the team, escalating complex matters to management and contributing to resolution strategies
- Provide feedback to the Brokerage Manager for employees' annual reviews
- Maintain and enhance client relationships through professional communication, issue resolution, and consistent delivery of high-quality service
- Assist in the training and development of team members to promote technical proficiency, regulatory awareness, and continuous improvement
- Perform additional duties as assigned
