Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Job Duties

  • Prepare and review customs documentation including import and export declarations, commercial invoices, and packing lists
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper retention of customs-related documents
  • Coordinate and oversee customs clearance processes including classification, valuation, and duty and tax determination
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and relevant parties to facilitate timely and accurate customs clearance
  • Determine the correct tariff classification of goods and apply tariff codes correctly
  • Ensure compliance with customs laws, regulations, and procedures
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and assess customs compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and investigate customs-related incidents or non-compliance issues
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement enhancements to streamline customs clearance
