Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 12 months of brokerage or transportation experience and/or customer service experience
  • proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment such as phone, fax, photocopier, printer, and scanner
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive tasks
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • detail oriented
  • knowledge of HTS classification
  • familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and other federal regulations related to customs
  • paid training provided

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 12 months brokerage, transportation, or customer service experience
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
  • knowledge of HTS classification
  • familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and federal compliance requirements
  • ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work

Job Duties

  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to U.S. Customs and other agents
  • anticipate, identify, and resolve shipment delays
  • maintain relationships with brokers and service providers
  • resolve banking and letter of credit issues
  • advise customers on payment terms
  • Obtain payment on delinquent accounts and complete accounting adjustments
  • resolve billing issues and coordinate post-entry activities
  • complete accurate data input and corrections
  • perform root cause analysis
  • coordinate entry verification processes
  • correspond with business partners via written and verbal communication
  • produce operational trend reports
  • support Account Administrators with account management activities
  • develop and maintain strong relationships with customer front-line personnel
  • facilitate entry processing and exception resolution
  • perform other duties as assigned
